Tenuta Argentiera
Of all the wineries in the Bolgheri DOC, Tenuta Argentiera, located on a small plateau in the extreme south and surrounded by a varied natural environment, is the closest to the sea.
From the top of the vineyards you have a wonderful view over Baratti in the south to Castiglioncello in the north, complemented by the panorama of the archipelago of Elba, Gorgona, Capraia with Corsica in the background.
The 80 hectares of vineyards are almost ideally located and some of the most beautiful in the area. Very often the prestige wine Bolgheri Superiore Argentiera, made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and a small amount of Cabernet Franc, is highly appreciated by the critics’ guild.
Since 2016, Stanislaus Turnauer, the owner of Tenuta Argentiera, has been responsible for the fate of the winery.
The grapes, selected by hand, are processed with the greatest care in the magnificent and generously designed winery.
Tenuta Argentiera is without doubt amongst the best vineyard sites found in the Maremma, part of the pretigious Bolgheri DOC.
